All you do is anchor your arrow as normal making sure you don't pull it back as far as it goes on your arrow. If you do this it will light the nock, shoot and it lights bye the force of the draw. To turn off all you do is slip the nock off and the illuminated piece slides out of nock, pull the lighted head part away from the rest of the piece until it shuts off. Easy as hell, takes 15 seconds. Green are good for 60 hours the rest of the colours are good for 50! So if you lose an arrow you have almost 3 days that the light will stay lit . None have failed to light for me yet! I shoot daily!

Alright tomorrow's the opener for most. Who will be getting out? I am not sure if I will get out in the morning or not yet because I am still in a lot of knee pain. I am actually off work the rest of the week per doctors orders. Probably get out in the afternoon hunt.

Good luck all today that's hunting. Be safe!

I"m heading out after work to see my mom. She just got moved to a new care center. I might hunt for an hour tonight here at the house. Deer have been hammering the peaches and pares out in the side yard. May throw up a ground blind and see what happens.

Its not cheating to shoot them out of the yard is it? I have a 160 acre WMA as a next door neighbor. :)

Be safe my friend, don't want to screw with that. Got my blind in and brushed in and hung another TC over a scrape, loving this property cause I can drive write up to almost anything I shoot. Cool down on the weekend, dropping from 22c to 3c Close to freezing. That should give them deer some gait in their walk! Who's going to be 1st to lay one down?

Yee haw! They got my UTV fixed. Picking it up tonight after work...... Having it back will open up lots of possibilities for stands to hunt for tomorrow! :)

My sit in the ground blind last night produced only the sighting of a button buck.

Called off the search at dark... We didn't even find 1 drop of blood.... Not 1!

I seen the shot good and kinda sorta got it on film.. A leaf covered the point of impact. Ik for sure it was a kill shot... Makes it that much worst imo. I hate it but that's the way it goes sometimes I guess.

Shot her at 7:30 am.... Several of us searched from around 10:30 am til dark.. no luck at all.

Hunt #7 this afternoon. Settled in for the night. I tell you what guys, this self filming is a lot of work setting up and tearing down.

I have yet to lay eyes on a deer, it's been a very weird start to my year. I don't think I've ever went this many sits and not seen something. I'm staying persistent as always though. We have a front with a bunch of rain and cool weather pushing thru last night. It rained from late last night until after lunch. I cut out of work early so I could sit this afternoon. Temps are in the mid 50s which is the coolest I've seen yet. It has normally been in the low 60s on my morning hunts. I'm still optimistic so hopefully I'll lay eyes on something.

I'm hunting a new stand but I'm still saving my best tree for later in the year when I start getting daylight pics of shooters

Well the winds picked up and kept me from climbing a tree this afternoon, winds were 50 miles an hour,to bad cause a cold snap is following it, dropping down to 28f tonight, so I might be out there in the am.

Good luck to those hunting tomorrow. Just waiting for the Jays to clinch home feild advantage over the Royals ,2 games left!!
