    Been in the stand for about an hour now. Saw a nice small 6 pt after 15 minutes. I hear turkey's now. Should be a good night with no wind. I'm hunting a ladder stand on the edge of a bean field. To my left is a road that goes down to the river behind me. [​IMG]

    Quick update for you guys. Had a doe and fawn come in this morning but not a real good shot available. However.........[​IMG]

    It's noon now. May snack and take a nap, hopefully tonight goes well. I'd like to stick a doe. Just a question, the latest a processor is open around here is 6. What do you guys do d you have to keep it fresh for a day or so? Quarter it and put on ice?

    Well, I saw my first buck of the season today. A little 7 point.

    Unfortunately, it was while walking the dog at the local park, and not while in a tree stand. Still, its nice to see the first one, hopefully the next will be standing below the tree stand.

    Heading to breakfast then to buckstop archery. Havnt pulled my bow in a month since my injury. I figured wait & heal my neck&back so I'm healthy for opening day 9 days!

    Great job and good shooting on the yotes...ive never had one close enough in the stand to get with my bow...let alone 2.... as far as your question goes quartering it and putting it on ice would be fine for a couple days
