Good luck to you too Dink.

It's definately early still.. but they are staring more and more to hit the forest floor.

But.. It's so hard to wait sometimes.

Good luck, Dink! I actually went out yesterday with the intentions of shed hunting (even though my main goal was to find some bedding areas). I covered a lot of ground, found a good bedding area, but no sheds. I don't know how you guys do it! I put a lot leg time in yesterday, too.

found an oldie today. If the earlier heavy ice had not mashed down the weeds, this one would likely never have been found. I missed it last season.

Great find there Dan! The oldies are fun to find, just crappy you couldn't find it last year without the rodents getting to it. I have found WAAAAAAY too many good sheds that have been crapped up by squirrels, rodents, etc.

Man finding the freshies is tough. I have to keep reminding myself thats its just Feb as most bucks drop in my area in Mid March. Did find the first dead head today that was not a Doe for a change. It was very ripe, the legs still had meat on them. Just a 5 point

    Nicely done so far BC.

I dislike finding old ones as well.. unless I have a little history of the buck.

It's just more fun to find freshies for some reason.

And I hear you on the 'its only February thing'.. a solid 60% of our bucks up here are still holding yet. But with the 28th coming up I know a REAL good 9 point who should be less some weight on his head very very soon.

He keeps thwarting me during the regular deer season.. but I feel better about myself come the shed season. :d
