I dont know how many watch Diners Drive Inns & Dives but I love that show. I took the wife and a buddy of ours to a caribbean restaurant they featured in Minneapolis tonight. It was REALLY good. We had a number of things and shared. We had a couple of appetizers and it is hard to explain what they were plus some great wings. For dinner we had stewed down ox tails, caribbean styled chicken fried rice, stewed beef with something like potatoes, and curried shrimp plus red beans and rice. I thought every thing was excellent. I also bought some ghost pepper salsa since I like hot stuff and was expecting it to light my *** on fire but it wasnt that hot. Well I didnt think so, but I my neighbor is still crying like a *****!
Those Minnesota, Norwegians from the Caribbean sure know how to cook. That stuff look good. Not sure about the TV show you mentioned but Im surprised there are enough restaurants in MN to support a TV show.
We watch the show when there is nothing else on. It is a compromise between my hunting shows and my wife's Game Show Network. I wish some of the places they show were closer to home so we could visit some of them but the one you went to is the closest we have seen. They have featured a couple in Duluth too. My mouth is usually watering for at least one of the joints in each episode. Glad you enjoyed.
That looks really good. I will have to add it to our list next time we are in Minneapolis. My wife and I try to hit up all the places featured on that show. Last we we hit up Llynns Paradise Cafe in Louisville, KY. The hot brown was pretty darn tasty!
If your ever down to Texas in the DFW area hit up Chef's Point Cafe. It's in an old gas station. Hands down the best duck I haver ever eaten. http://www.chefpointcafe.org/
I like this show too. I've thought about taking a road trip hours away just to try some of the places featured.
Love the show. Those dishes look good. We try to go to as many listed restaurants as we can in our travels. Some are great others suck and you wonder how they ever made the show. http://www.flavortownusa.com/
