I have been reading some of the different approaches, when it comes to food plot and it has generated some curiosity. I am thinking of creating a food plot here, using some of the stuff you guys use over there to see if the local deer here will be interested and feed from it. The Geographic’s of this island and vegetation is not very nourishing for deer population, probably that is why they are so small and their antlers only grow as far as 6 point.
What will be your best suggestion? The climate here majority of the time is in the high 90 degrees and don't ask about the humidity! and the lows are in the mid to high 70’s.
That brings me to this question, Different regions, and different need? What tactics and approach will fellow bow hunters from the following regions will use: East Coast, Midwest, North, South and Pacific?
Also does the (ph) level on the soil make a difference, when it comes to choosing the right food plot? I talked to our local Fish and Wildlife guy here and from what he tells me as to what the deer population feeds around here; I might as well create a food plot of Banana daiquiris!!:nana:

Your input in this matter will be greatly appreciated!!
