I had a great weekend of hunting but didn't kill anything this week. Saturday morning was one of my all time best hunts. At 8:30 I saw a doe and small buck playing tag in the hollow behind me for a few minutes. At 9:30 I had a small buck chase a doe right at my stand and veer off at 10 yards. after that 6 other bucks came in following that trail, but none were as big as the buck I killed last week. Saw 8 bucks total that morning.

Saturday evening I had a big buck chase a small one off my food plot so he could be with the does. He came about halfway over to my decoy before he decided something wasn't right.

Sunday evening I saw the buck I call "Bakers Dozen" working over a bush 50 yards behind my stand. Got some video of it. But after he was thru he left the other way with half the bush stuck in his antlers.

Thanks for the info John. I'll be out Thursday for an all day hunt. It sounds like we are really starting to get some day time movement around these parts.

Sounds awesome it's really heating up here in New York as well. Saw the biggest buck Ive ever seen last night and missed him.. The only thing that deterred me from jumping off my stand was the fact that it's gonna be full swing in a couple days

At least someone was having some luck in the area. Can't wait to see you behind Bakers Dozen.

Looks like Johnny killed a dandy buck yesterday too.

I start my vacation tomorrow at 4:30. Going to pick up another combination permit to get an either sex tag just in case. It's going to be a fun few weeks coming up. Rain is supposed to stop tomorrow night, mid 40's for highs Wed. and Thur., bit of wind on Wed. but it's time to be out there regardless.
