THIS!!! I will be voting when done with work. I just laughed when I heard this one yesterday: "Our airport is a huge international hub and there's no travel ban, which is the first thing they should have done, people can just come and go from the infected areas. Frankly, I don't think Governor Dayton is capable of handling Ebola."
Yes first thing this morning and I really hope Pat Quinn is gone. It was kind of fun saying no to every judge too.
You mean I'm not the only one tired of hearing about pryor and cotton?! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
Quinn maybe? Durbin? No way! The way the electoral college works here, if you don't live in Chicago or the collar counties, your vote almost doesn't matter. Sad, but true. I always vote anyway because I feel it is my duty. I don't know one person around where I live that voted for Quinn or Obama in their last elections....but Chicago did, so welcome to Illinois, home of great whitetail and terrible government!
I'll vote on my way home before running to the vets office. Being a borough council member, they kind of frown upon the members not voting. I'll love not seeing commercials and getting spammy phone calls!
That reason right there is why I almost don't vote. Local stuff yea, but as far as state goes as long as Chicago wants them in office they will be regardless of rest of state. It's pretty sad. I will still go after get out of tree stand. Place is walking distance from house so might as well.
I went at lunch time. Thankfully I didn't run into a crowd and was able to get in and out right away!
Even when I lived in the collar counties my vote didn't count. Of course, it didn't change in central IL either. I still voted. At least I could cancel out a dead person's vote somewhere in Crook Co.. I see there's an 'assault weapon ban' on the Cook Co. ballot. If it passes, they'll use the results as a mandate to pass more statewide restrictions. yay! I'm not even in IL and I still hate the elections there.
Voted, sadly we probably won't know anything until tomorrow afternoon evening, I'm sure there will be a re out for Gov. here in IL
And all of the damn signs will be off of the side of roads, plus no more freaking junk mail (political).
