I finally got the 68 Super Kodiak tuned. I never had such a time figuring out the spine/tip combination before. Now it's nothing but a joy to shoot now. The 60# draw weight is also getting easier to shoot with. I've got it down to softball size groups at 18 yards. Still a bit shaky after 25-30 repeated shots. [IMG]

Yes, I installed a new set of strings from bowstringdepot a couple days ago and was just able to set the bow up. The strings settled in immediately and before I was done with the preliminary setup, I exploded a nock at 30 yards.

I haven't been able to step out past 20yd in about 3 months. Today I changed that. I cut two lanes on the wooded part of the property at our house to shoot from the deck. Shot some 30yd groups to fine tune my sight. Shot the 3" dots on one of our prototype targets. Removed 2 vanes and dented 4 or five pin nock inserts due to groups like this:

I'll be setting up 40yd and 50yd next weekend.

shot for 2 hours on sunday (13th) for first time since November. Shooting 2" groups @ 50yds but still 3" left with field tips vs. broadheads (same as last season.) With field tips, I'm dead on at all ranges. With BHs, dead on @ 20 yds, 1" left @ 30, 2" left @ 40 3"@ 50... cannot figure that out.

Now that I'll be shooting at work a lot, I'm sitting out a few days. I've been shooting pretty well lately though.

Wet and cool here today, but still a good day to shoot my newly wrapped FMJs on my Z7 Mag.
No rangefinder with me. Walked off 20 paces.
    +/- 20 yards - 12 arrows - Grade = A
New arrow wraps fly really well.

Well I started off easy.I shot my sons Diamond Razors Edge because I can turn it down to 45lbs. and I had to adjust draw length a little.I shot fairly well I guess, only two sets of three arrows. At least I ve built up my strength so I can start shooting again.I am friggin thrilled man!
