Did my first spot shoot today ever. Considering I am coming off a hand injury and I was shooting FMJs and with my hunting rig I will take a 266. Not great but ill take it for the first competitive shoot of the year.

Shot some 3D today. 40 yards looking REAL good! Have had the bow only a few weeks with practice at the range only 1 day a week.

Yes….50 arrows….20-50 yards. Strong South wind made the 50yd shots a bit challenging. Loving the new Creed XS.

There was a Facebook threat on a student at my sons school today, so I pulled my son out for the day. He went with me to the club. We shot for about 2 hours. I've been shooting just about everyday for the last 2 months. I'm at about 1000-1200 arrows per week. Still indoors mostly because of the cold. This is 25 yds.

first of all, it will never Ever happen when the it's an elk and not a bag target, but the shoot every day approach is really help me. 22 yards in the back yard. Practicing at longer range over the weekend has made a big difference. cst@20.jpg

Shot at my local pro shop today for about an hour. Range was very crowded so didn't get in as much practice as I wanted but was good to shoot for awhile!

Got a chance to stop by Field and Stream today. They opened a few months back and we've just been too busy. They have a single lane of 20 yards to try out bows. Shot a couple Hoyts that had $1500 tags on them. They drew nice and smooth shot accurately. They had me shooting 7 different arrows, at different lengths and weights. At 63 pounds they chronographed at 243 to 289.
It felt good to shoot, Not a speed demon.

I try to shoot at least 4-5 times a week, not counting weekends, 3-D targets at a local range and mostly in the back yard...I have one "crazy" old neighbor that thinks I'm going to hit his house....my back is to his house....I'm not that bad...lol. Shoot 3-D almost every weekend. I'm getting better. This is mostly with my compound (because that's what I'm going to hunt with this year..and my crossbow). Shoot some with my recurve...wow, got a lot of practicing to do with that one. My muscles in my back still hurt bad with it. Under my right shoulder blade. Guess I'm working the right ones.

Just bought some GT 7595 for my 1968 Bear Super Kodiak (Black Beauty). My wife bought it for me about a year ago.

    60# @ 29" DL

Built 2 test arrows. 1 Full length 32" and 1 30". Tested with 100gr and 250gr. The full length 100gr was a no go (as I figured). The full length was ok but too long for my needs/likes. The 30", 250gr was a dead on pile driver!!!
6 shots taken, all at 20 yards at a 4" circle. [IMG]
