I figured you felt is was a fair comparison or you wouldn't have made it...doesn't mean it actually is a fair comparison because the voice in your head told you so. I don't feel it's a fair comparison at all, it happened here on the ground for everyone on the ground at the site to witness, thousands were killed with multiple thousands of relatives to testify to, etc...The moon landing could have very easily been faked and only a handful of people would have had to have known about it. There was no one actually on the moon to witness it, no one on the ground could see them land without being viewed through media, etc... Government covers crap up all the time, they also throw out utter BS disinformation in order to obscure actual events. Often times there are pieces of truth mixed in which only adds to the effect of confusion and deterrent. As far as how I look to others, I really couldn't give a rat's patukey or I wouldn't have played devils advocate in this thread and presented why I feel it's worth being suspicious about. Jenner got an award for being brave enough to "come out" as wanting to be a girl when he's a guy...maybe conspiracy theorists should be given a bravery award for giving their opinions that are out of the mainstream enough to be ridiculed for it. I don't know, I don't know that it shows incompetence. It could be argued it shows our potential brilliance in being faced with so many problems and still managing a safe return home in spite of the obstacles. It could also have only been to add another dimension of plausibility, after all it gave you one more point to use didn't it. Maybe they were actually trying to make the first manned mission after the others had been faked and had to abort, nearly dying in the process...or maybe it was real and as told. You actually hunt? Considering any jo shmo with a $300 laser can send a recieve a signal from man made plates placed on the lunar surface.....I say yes. No doubt about it. Lasers are a very simple tool to prove this

So to get this straight, the engineers, pilots, secretaries, hollywood set producers, everyone down to the ***** boy who made coffee for everyone in the morning... They are ALL still in on this decades later? Nobody spilled the beans, ever? Thousands of people would be involved/know based on their role in us ACTUALLY going to the moon. The stuff some people cook up in their heads is mind boggling to me.
If Gru can steal the moon, I certainly believe that man has walked it's surface as well. He held the moon in his own hands for crying out loud.
That's why the biggest scam in history may have been so easy to pull off. People would rather believe it than to recognize the obvious that it's just not possible or at least it wasn't in 1969. It happened because we were told it did and we watched it on TV...duh.
