Ok I owned a bear at 27 inches, discovered bowhunting.com, became an addict of bowhunting.com, sold my bear, bought a heli-m, bought an apache carbon rest, bought a dozen carbon Easton injexion arrows in the 400 spine. I seriously drove home at 90 to see these arrows today. I chose the 400 because of some chart I found online, however the back of the box has my new 28 inch draw on my heli-m needing a 330. I have plans tomorrow to go back to the proshop to get my new rest, stabelizer, sight etc all finished. No one around me carries these arrows so I'd have to try to send them back and order again. Should I send them back and go with the 330 or will it not be that big of a deal? I badly wanted to finish my whole setup tomorrow, do you know how hard it is to hide a bow from your wife, with nothing on it so I can't shoot it for 7 whole days now? I'm only off Fridays so I've been waiting to finish this thing off.
Use the spine chart below. Go to a shop and buy one or two arrows and shoot them. If they don't work well try something else before you order a whole set. Don't let the pro shop tell you an arrow on the chart doesn't exist. That is seldom the case, they just want you to select from their existing inventory. http://www.huntersfriend.com/carbon_...deflection.htm
68-70 lbs and 28 inches on my draw. Also there is no shop where I can buy one or two injexion arrows and try them out. If bass pro doesn't carry them I doubt I could find them inside a two hr drive. I'm in Jackson ms and the only real shop I know of said he is holding out on offering some arrow that only has 5 broad head choices. His words not mine.
Jbc... Looks to me like you are under-spined with 400. Easton's chart says 330 is recommended. Also, the pro shop I deal with is in sync with yours regarding 'holding out' on stocking Injexion arrows (and all Deep Six products). He will order them for anyone though... "Only takes 3 days to get products" he told me.
Have you tried shooting some Beman 340s? I bet they have some that you can shoot. Once you know they shoot well for you, you can order the 330 spine in the brand of your choice and you'll be fine. You can shoot the 400sby turning the draw weight down a mite. I doubt you'll notice much difference except increased consistency in your accuracy.
