I have a buddy of mine that wants to get into archery. I went with him today to checkout some bows. He is looking to stay between $400 and $550 complete. He tried the Diamond Outlaw today and loved it. Anyone have this bow? Curious what others think of it. Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
Alright going to assume that no one on this site has this bow or ever shot it. I was impressed with it. It was extremely light, very smooth draw and a very solid backwall. For the price and first bow for my buddy I think he is making a great choice if he goes with it!
I do not have any experience with the bow, but for what it's worth I have read several positive reviews on it.
I actually just got a Horton crossbow but am now thinking about switching to standard archery after reading this forum...miss the old school style!
I shot the Outlaw last year and only negative thing I could say is the vibration after the shot, wich could be cured with a stabilizer.(shop didn't have one on the bow) other than that I really like the bow.
Sounds like he is going with this one. I think because he is to impatient to try more! Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
Fergus the only problem we ever see with the Diamond line is the track in the upper wheel is not deep enough and if torqued right, the string jumps right out. Aside from that, good shooters.
I think that he was going to order it yesterday but I make him aware of that. I was able to get him to try a few others and the Outlaw was by far his favorite. Will be cool having another friend to shoot with!
Shot this bow several times and I mean several, along with almost every other new bow on the market trying to find a new bow for this year. For the price, I was going to go with it since it comes completly set up until a buddy sold his Assassin to me cheap. But I think for a new shooter it is an excellent choice.
i own the bow and love it very light great price it has an 80% let off. at a 60# draw i can hold steady for several mins. the only thing i didnt like was the quiver mount for it and three prong rest it came with because it wears out and can give you a "random" problem if you are unfamiliar with the rest. ive seen last years models on sale for right around the 350 mark at the big chain stores.
i just returned an outlaw today because the cam was starting to tweak to to the left.... i like the way it shoots, but there doesnt seem to have a solid backwall.. but thats just me.
He just got the bow yesterday and all setup today. I haven't had a chance to see it yet but hope to check it out this weekend.
