Well gang, I told ya'll earlier about the one they had reduced and I walked away...well I went in today and it was still there so I asked to shoot it....WOW.

    I put it on layaway.

That bow is smooth and quiet.....

    539 for an 09 Iceman.

    I'm pumped.

im for sure going to buy a bow ...but not sure when...I want a bowtech. My buddy said his marquis is awesome..heard him shoot it, and wow...it was so so quite.

Its either i wait awhile and buy a newer model, like the destroyer, or new hoyte maxxis or go ahead and buy a 09' model and be ready for next season.

I was also looking at the dream season PSE, never shot PSE before...what are your guys thoughts on them??

i got a nice gift card from xmas that i need to blow to cabelas....might go ahead and buy another bow...either that or a ton of scent lok stuff...

My pick on Bows would be as follows:

PSE? It would be hard for me to not to choose the BowMadness if I was looking at only the PSE line.

Hoyt? I'd choose the AlphaMax 35 hands down.

Mathews? Z7 would be my choice from their offerings.

BowTech? The Destroyers! Although I really Like my Captain and have No intention of retiring it just yet ;-)

    Sothernboy,

Nice pic on a bow, I just purchased the same one a couple of months ago. I used to be a Matthews Fanboy and then over the last few years I've seen the industry (in my opinion) catch up and there are great bows that I would be happy to shoot everywhere. I shot every bow out there that was a 2009 and once I shot the ice-man I was amazed and had to have it. Usually once I get the bow set up I adjust my tiller to get rid of hand shock and get the bow shooting and drawing more smoothly. This bow I didn't even need to adjust my tiller, it's just flat out is smooth.

    Thanks, everybody.....

My plan was to get a Marquis thru my boy who is in training to be a Combat Medic, and when he gets deployed he could order it...but I stumbled into this bow....I'm truly happy, it is plain nasty....I have all the stuff to put on it, so I'll be shooting a really sweet bow.

I'm biased towards Diamond because my first bow is a 'Rock" and it has embarrassed several of the guys I hunt with who use the more popular brands...but the reality is we all (my group) shoot mid and entry level bows.

When I shot the Iceman.....I have to say that It was a different anamal completely...it is without a doubt "Topshelf".

And I got it for less money then the Diamond Stud.(another great bow)

BUt let me make sure I point out that the best bow in the world to me...maybe be a turd to you. It's all about how you like it...not how I like it....

    Drive on.

Bare bow...but they will set it up with all my stuff.....for no additional $$.

It has a peep sight with the rubber tubing...I'll more than likely have that replaced with a peep in the string w/no tubing.
