I went to Sportsmans today and ended up shooting the Diamond Fugitive. It shot really nice. I did not chrono but it seemed fast. The draw was very smooth and the hump was not too bad. The only downside that I could find was that it had a definite vibration after the shot that seemed to go on forever but it that could probably be remedied with the right dampeners. All in all a nice bow but for the same price I think I'll stick with my Assassin.

Wow, I just did the same thing only at Cabelas and I ended up coming home with it. Love the new Diamond Fugitive! It's replacing my 2 year old Mathews Reezen 6.5 which has been a decent bow but just never had great accuracy for me past 40 yards. I love the stiff backwall on the fugitive as well as the draw cycle. Just feels perfect to me. I shot lights out with it out to 80 yards after getting it tuned in. I did put limbsaver dampeners on the limbs which shut down the minimal fibs it had. As a stock bow it fibrated less than my reezen did so I really was not that concerned. I did end up getting the RAK setup which was promptly removed in favor of my higher end components from the Reezen. I did test the Outlaw also which has 1/2" greater brace height with everything else being identicle to the Fugitive. I did not feel any difference between the two bows so I decided to go for the extra tad bit of speed from the Fugitive. I would highly recommend taking a look at Diamond's new lineup for 2011.

Yeah I went to the shop about a week ago and shot both the diamonds mentioned above. The have a real smooth draw cycle and not a whole lot of vibration on the shot. Im not sure the assassin is worth $100 more than the outlaw but i think im gonna go with it anyways. The assassin has a few more FPS and a little quieter shot. I know that dampeners could fix it but i dont know, the Assassin just felt better for me. It also looks better IMO. I will be pickin it up on the 1st. (well ordering it online) only b/c they offer military discount. lol Im cheap.

Thats sweet! Hope you enjoy thew new Assasin. Looks like a great bow also. I've always been partial to single cam bows for the simplicity but one of these days I'll have to give the dualy's a good hard look.

The new Diamond bows are awesome! The Outlaw is the best bang for your buck, I couldn't spend another $100 for 7 FPS gained from the Fugitive. The only difference in the two bows is that the Fugitive has a shorter brace height, which is where you get the FPS difference. All in all, the new Diamonds are great for the money.

Unless they changed something doesn't BowTech/Diamond require the bow to be sent to an APO?
