Anyone know anything or have an opinion ? I love my Rock, so I'm partial to Diamond...and am thinking of upgrading at the end of the season.... SB
I usually tell people I represent BowTech, not necessarily Diamond. But if you insist. I don't know... I think I'm on ok guy, but you'd probably be better off asking less biased people.
I've shot and handled the Stud. I think it really flys under the radar for most people and doesn't get the attention it really deserves. It's a fantastic bow IMHO, definitely top shelf in comparison to the other single cam bows out there today, and it has what I believe to be the perfect specs for a really good hunting bow. I would definitely shoot it and if you like, pick one up!!
I haven't shot it...but I've held it....and Like I said I really like the Rock....so I imagine I'll really like the Stud. SB
Doe yourself a favor- go buy a Nitrous !! I've shot many bows, and in the process of selecting a new bow- I shot everything I could get my hands on. I eventually decided on the General, by Bowtech. I had this bow for a little while and hated it. It was a huge piece of crap, not worth the time it took me to drive and buy it. I decided I needed an upgrade. The Nitrous had just come out. I shot it, and that was it. I bought it, with speed mods. I sold it last year, like an idiot(needed cash) and I'm about to buy another one. Its super smooth, pretty fast, extremely quiet and is probably the most accurate bow I've ever owned.
The Stud is a great bow that seems to do exactly what RJ said, flys under the radar. Killer hunting single cam. On the other hand, the Nitrous is a sweet bow too. Black Ice cams on a Marquis frame, it's a great idea. Also, I think it was bowhuntersuperstore.com has them for 379.00 right now. Just sucks that it was made RH only, as I am a lefty.
If you are thinking of up grading, move on up to the Black Ice. It's a great bow! It's very forgiving, quite, and very smooth drawing. You won't be sorry. Pick one up and shoot it. When I bought mine, I didn't like the looks of it. I had never owned a Diamond. But after shooting it, I was sold. I think you will be too.
