Diameter of HSS lifeline or Millenium's Safelink rope

    I am going to make linemens rope with a Ropeman 1. Does anyone know if I can use one of my extra HSS lifeline or Millenium Safelink ropes instead of purchasing a 11mm static rope? Has anyone done this? I did a search could not find my answer to this question.

    Yes you can. I believe those ropes are 11 mm. I used the milliunum rope and made a tether and linesman rope out of it. Used it for 2 years before going to a smaller diameter rope. Did that for packability, smaller rope was much easer to store and had better fall rating I believe.
