i'll have to see if i can get leave, but that'll be tough. i was hoping to go to the rhinehart shoot in south dakota since it's only 8 hrs or so away.

if i was still stationed in scott afb, it'd be a cinch. y'all look to be having a lot of fun. =)

hehe i know it. i just have to time it right and save for it. leave seems to be hard to come by since they're drawing us in the military down, but not drawing down our work load.

my leave to texas got canceled this month, and i was planning on slaughtering some hogs and exotics. just gotta chance it i suppose. when i see some dates and all, i'll try and put it for it.

haven't been back to illinois for quite some time. technically i'm still a resident of that state lol

the video looked like a hoot. so i'm interested in putting faces to names.

i'm hoping to go paid, but we'll see. by that time i may be too old to be a probie again.

always wanted to be a firefighter but when 9/11 happened, my fiery youth got me to join, and for some reason, still havin enough fun to not cut and run. i was close to leaving though this last year…even had a station open a spot for me, but i dunno…guess i wasn't ready to hang the cap and trade it for a new one.

    are you still serving?

    break break

wow, 7 years?! that's pretty cool that it's become a tradition like that. didn't know that this site was that tight knit.

yup, 15 yrs on the job; 10yr 2 go and I'm retired. Did the volly thing 10yr B4 goin fulltym. I'm also a medic there. rode the box for 13 yrs, now EPM/MPO and acting officer.

Would they let you catch a military flight this way? mitchell field in Milwaukee has the 128th air refuelers there.

We're trained but I couldn't get certified. My actual job is completely unrelated to the emergency medical career field.

You never know though; opportunities open up when i least expect. :)
