I am in desperate need of good hunting boots. They will need to be able to stay dry in the cold. I am new to Bowhunting and that i s why I am asking for everyone's help.

I like rocky boots Men's Boots - Outdoor Hiking & Hunting Boots im sure u can find something there to meet your needs. i have used several different boot of theirs over the years and the waterproofing holds up. the thinsulate insulation they use is great stuff.

I was a muck guy for about 4 years, and last season on a wild hair I bought some Rocky's off camofire.com they were $130 marked down from 65$, they have 400 gram thinsulate insulation with a gortex liner. They wear like a high top sneaker in terms of comfort and mobility but have a very rugged sole. Looking back I wish I'd have bought three or four pairs. They are awesome! Not bulky at all, warm during the winter and breathable during early season. I highly recommend them. I believe they were the Rocky L2 mobility or something like that.

What kind are you looking for? Do you hunt from a tree stand/blind or are you spotting and stalking out in the mountains? I hunt timber and fields from tree stands and my feet get really cold so I wear Lacrosse Alpha Burly Pros with 800g of thinsulate. They've held up great for 4 years or so.

FWIW-Danner had just made some changes to several of their boots. I picked up a pair and am very pleased, granted we don't need the super heavy insulation in the South.

Also, "Hit the Breakroom" periodically will run some deals and may (or may not) have something worth looking at. You can get signed up and receive their email when they have a deal running. Feel free to use my referral link below: http://www.hitthebreakroom.com/invite/?r=367764

I gave Bogs Boots a try this year and am extremely happy so far. I loved my lacrosse boots but wanted to go rubber. Normal rubber boots to me are super uncomfortable so I got low top lace up ones from BOGS. Awesome boots
