When hunting deer...do you buy a deer tag for a specific? Or can you take either a black tail or mule deer with the same tag? Thanks.
It would depend where you live. I bet they are specific but some places you can buy an either species tag.

There's usually a specific government website for national forests so you should be able to search online too, however they usually don't specify things like that on the website so calling is a better option
