I'm looking for a deer processor near me in Athens Ohio. I'm new to hunting and don't know how to properly process a deer yet, so I figured I would take it to a professional and pay a little extra than try t myself. Problem is I can't seem to find any processors around me. Anyone have any help?
Try contacting your fish and game commission. Some states will provide hunters with a list of butchers
Through some Googling I found one in Albany, OH called Wood Rd Deer Processing. Looks like there's one called Dowler's Processing in Athens. The Wood Rd place has a Facebook with post from last season so they may still be around. Others it's hard to tell without calling. I just closed on my first house and i'm also trying to find processors nearby. Eventually i'd like to do it myself but it's just easier to drop it off for now.
