while hunting last week we ran into town for some dinner and had this little buck on a bridge over the Nodaway River. We thought he was going to jump over the side so we went slow and kept our distance.
Good job not pushing him so he didn't bail over the edge. We just had that happen locally, a mule deer buck got on the bridge that crosses the Snake river. Traffic spooked him and he bailed over the side. He wasn't over water and it was about a 60' drop to the ground. He didn't survive very long after hitting.
Seen this in KS. We stop the truck about 40 yards away waiting for him to walk or the bridge. He turned and jumped the side rail and died 20 feet below.
