I finally got my buck to mount on a wall this year being my 3rd season into bow hunting. I dropped it off at the local taxidermist on November 21st in Oklahoma not far from my Mom's place. What little did I know, my mom put in a request to the taxidermist to see if I could have it by Christmas so I could have my deer head in my new home. The taxidermist agreed to do it and she picked it up yesterday. My mom who lives in Oklahoma was then planning on making the 8 hour drive down to Texas (which is where I live)to surprise me at my newly engaged fiancè's families house for Christmas to drop off the deer head and see my new home. As she was loading up the car to Prepare to travel, she looked the deer head over one more time and noticed the brow tine I requested to get fixed never did. She felt bad so immediately called me to spill the beans on the surprise. She felt awful but knew I wanted it fixed. View attachment 81377 View attachment 81378 The deer head is going back to the taxidermy for another couple months but at least my mom tried to make it a Merry Christmas. Here are a couple pics of it for now until the brow tine is fixed. Merry Christmas guys! Hope everyone has a great holiday!!

Cool. I would leave the rack the way it is rather than have a fake brow tine added but thats your call.

Real nice mount, but I wouldn't let that broken tine bother me. That's how he was when you killed him. His way of letting you know he was a fighter.

I agree with the above responses.
I would hang it on the wall and be proud of him being just the way he was when shot.

Yea I thought about leaving it that way but I had trail camera pics of him having that tine on there. Can't say for sure he had it when I had shot since it all happened so fast so I just decided I wanted it fixed.

Leave him the way you found him after you harvested him!! He`s a great buck, just my opinion!
