I finally got my buck to mount on a wall this year being my 3rd season into bow hunting. I dropped it off at the local taxidermist on November 21st in Oklahoma not far from my Mom's place. What little did I know, my mom put in a request to the taxidermist to see if I could have it by Christmas so I could have my deer head in my new home. The taxidermist agreed to do it and she picked it up yesterday. My mom who lives in Oklahoma was then planning on making the 8 hour drive down to Texas (which is where I live)to surprise me at my newly engaged fiancè's families house for Christmas to drop off the deer head and see my new home. As she was loading up the car to Prepare to travel, she looked the deer head over one more time and noticed the brow tine I requested to get fixed never did. She felt bad so immediately called me to spill the beans on the surprise. She felt awful but knew I wanted it fixed. The deer head is going back to the taxidermy for another couple months but at least my mom tried to make it a Merry Christmas. Here are a couple pics of it for now until the brow tine is fixed. Merry Christmas guys! Hope everyone has a great holiday!!
Congrats on a fine deer. I killed a wide 8 point that has a similar look this year. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
