I live in a farm and for our calves we give then sweet flakes mixed with corn I was wondering if I could do that with deer. And I also wondered if it would help with antler growth and when to put it out?
(Sweet flakes is a sweet feed with 18% protein 7% fiber some other vitamins and calcium and fat... The sweetness comes from molasses)

If it's legal where you are .............. how much can you afford?

Deer will feed on sweet stuff year round. If it has minerals and other beneficial products in it...... bonus.

Good point about the cost, in the dead of winter I spend right around $9 a day to feed the deer. With the snow melting off now it is about $5 a day.

It cost about $17 for a 50 pound bag.

If you feed you need to feed and be consistent it is a commitment of time and $ if you hope to see results. Do an search on deer feeds and compare the nutritional info vs what you are feeding and see if it offered what they need. I think feeding results are more noticeable in climates that get colder for longer with more snow but it can't hurt to help in other areas.
