That was insane... I had a deer running along side of me going down the road one day, naturally I slowed down not knowing its next move... It then turned and jumped over the guard rail off a STEEP bank... Last I saw it was hitting tree limbs on it's way down... I'll never know if it made it or not... It was just a fawn.
Thats a pretty sad way for a nice deer to go out, but i have to admit when the dude looks over the rail, "aww dude, hes dead man.." I laughed
A deer like that will jump right off a bridge, but won't go anywhere near my tree stand But seriously thats really sad to see
One time while coming home from fishing I had 2 deer cross a bit up in front of me, it was a big highway, large grassy median. Really not a whole lot of traffic either. They got to the opposite lane and instead of just going straight over the bank they proceeded out on the over pass, then jumped. Not many things freak me out, but I was a bit appalled. I got off the exit & drove around. One deer was killed instantly when it landed throat first on one of the guardrail I beam posts. the other had broken at least 2 of its legs and could really only flop. I called the State Police and a cruiser was in the area and he came to finish off the deer (since it was illegal for me to do so)
