Nope, not 9 days too early here in Tennessee. I think he was stretching it a bit when he said it was someone who "everybody knows and loves". It's just me. I took this guy at 6:20 am this morning with my TC Encore muzzleloader. I walked out my back door at 5:00 am, walked through my shed, strapped my climber on my back and was on stand by 5:15 am. Living in the country is great.

LittleChief, that is ONE heck of a buck! Seriously, great job and I am envious of your country living hunting man. Good luck the rest of the season.

Thanks, Tony. This was a H E A V Y deer. It was all my son and I could do to drag him up the gulley he fell in far enough to hook a winch cable onto him. His front legs were as big as some smaller doe's hindquarters. I have to admit, it was a unique experience to have antlers banging against my ankles as I was skinning him. This is my best buck ever. I can't believe I got him here on my home club.

I really regreat having the wrong weapon in my hand. No one can ever say for sure, but there's an excellent chance I would have gotten him with my bow. He was only 15-20 yards away when I pulled the trigger. That was after he had gone right under me.

It's a good day.... :tu: but I'm pretty tired now!

That's a big old girl, Tony! Congratulations! Tell your brother I said congrats also. His doesn't look twice as big. Bigger, but not by that much.
