That really sucks, and I'm very sorry for your not so good hunting season, but with that being said there is always an upside to everything mother nature throws at us. We have to let her take her course, gonna happen no matter what we try to do she is thinning the weak from the heard. Best of luck and I hope you get to have a killer season.

Yea it has not hit us too bad here in our part of the state so far but it is certainly a worry. The worst part about it is that it is hitting in the part of KY test can least afford to lose deer. Almost all of the hard hit counties are also in the areas with lower deer densities. I hate it for them. We went through it in 2007 and some areas lost half the deer herd. Our part of the state recovered pretty quickly but I fear Eastern KY may be a long time recovering from this one.

A few county's in west Ky. lost over 90% of the herd in "07"....every little water hole I knew of had 8-10 laying around it.

We went through this a couple years back. I only know of 1 doe that I lost on my property, but there were lots of deer lost around the area. One guy I know found over 30 on his property.
