What type of decoy would you guys use this time of year if any? I really want to try one this year. I've read to stay away from doe decoys with their head upright because it can put deer on alert. I have a Dave Smith buck decoy and a feeding doe. I can't decide which one or maybe both?
I am planning to start using my buck decoy this weekend. Mix in a little light rattling and hope for the best. Your Buck/doe combo should be dynamite in a couple of weeks.
I use the Montana decoys doe/buck combo during the rut with decent success. I have used just my doe decoys a few times early season (filling) doe tags & it didn't really seem to help or hurt me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
