Was going out this morning but have a head cold. Also got down to 20 last night so a 1/2 mile walk in on crusted snow, no wind would be alarming to say the least. Sat down to eat about 7 and looked out the South window. Across the road about 50 yds from the house were 4 does feeding in the CRP. Don't see them that close in daylight. Maybe I need to get a high power? Don't think DNR would like that much.

Oh they taunt you, there have been years where my wife saw more bucks from the sun room than I have seen from the stand.

Haha, I had a neighbor once text me that there was an eight point in my backyard. Where was I? In a tree stand...

Last day today (01-10) Will be out again this afternoon. Spent 4 hours in the stand yesterday evening and saw lot of wildlife but not one deer. I did find out I am not using the stick steps again. My arms and knees did not like that one bit. Will stick to a standard ladder or ladder stands.

Fog moving in, real damp out, dirt road will be soft, might not get close to the stand without a couple steep hill walk.
