Just wondering when some of you change your batteries. I put out 2 cameras last year and put lithium ion batteries in both of them and it is still showing 100%. They are both the stealth cam G30. I really don't see any reason to change them but was wondering if the batteries are like the cordless drill and just go from full power to 0%. Should new batteries be in order or run them for the summer and wait till fall to change them. I also leave them out year round.

Yes. They drop off rapidly at the end of their lives.

Unless you're getting thousands of pictures, I think you'd be fine for a couple months yet and change before fall.

If you see them move off 100 percent, that's when you need to change them. They won't last long after that.

When I put cams out in June they all get new batteries and then I typically will swap out batteries in my more active cameras in October. But when I swap cards I will typically have a pack of batteries with me just in case something needs changed.

Lithiums tend to go from 100% to dead pretty quickly. Run them till end of summer if you can and then throw a set of replacements in there right before season starts so you don't miss anything during prime time.
