I've heard of some people screwing a peanut butter jar onto a tree and that deer love the sweet and salty mix. I've never tried it though, so I can't say if it works or not.

I have used Peanut Butter a lot in the past. Haven't in the past few years. I hung mine from a string on a limb....they loved it. I sprayed it real good with Dead Down Wind to help get my scent off the jar. They destroyed it every time I put it out.

PB works fine. I just spread a bunch on a log and within hours have deer on my trail cams. Great way to get a quick idea of what is in a new area.

I also heard of some weirdos smearing peanut butter on their junk so the dog will lick it off....but they are most likely freaks and pervs.

Anyway, I have a client that swears by that exact process. He said deer lap it up like candy. I personally have never tried it tho.
