Ran across this picture today on Facebook. WOW is all I have to say.
Dead deer walking. Guessing someone tried a hard quartering away shot.
If I didn’t see the doe walking with it’s guts dragging on the ground, two hrs later get jumped from where she was bedded and run through a field, jump barbwire twice and leave guts on both wires, then run again...
I would not have believed it.
SUPER tough animal. And tasty
Blows my mind how tough they are. Def a rage
What a nasty way die
It didn't have to be a hard quartering shot. It could have been a good aim with a deer that moved. Why I avoid the quartering shot, broadside.
My aunt in Ohio used to see a buck missing half of his right front leg. She watched him and said he got around OK.
Ouch! I know I would be dead thats for sure!
I'd bet borrowed money that deer dies from infection. It is amazing what they can endure though.
My guess is truck or train did that.
