I was just wondering if deer eat hay that is grown for cows? We have 12 acres of hay at the front of our property that a local Angus beef cow farmer grows and bails 2 some time 3 times a year. there is a gully that has a massively traveled deer trail through it along the back side of these fields. My brother harvested his first buck with a bow from along this area last year. It has never dawned on me to ask anyone if deer eat this stuff to. If so that would explain some of the activuty we have seen at the back corner of it. So does anyone know if they do?

Yea but when there are Higher protein sources growing right now they tend to focus on beans and clovers.... When everything is harvested I will usually throw a little clover hay down with my corn in the winters and they tear it up!
