I recently bought a place in the Catskills and will be bowhunting for whitetails this fall. Having never hunted in an area where bears and deer coexist, I'm not sure what precautions I should be taking. Carry a firearm? Pepper spray? What about entering a treestand before light? Is spotting and stalking not a good idea? Any advice will help. Thanks.
