I just bought some used deep 6 fmj's and now I need to find broadheads for them. I want to get fixed blades because my plan is to hunt elk in Idaho at some point and they don't allow mechanicals.

So DEEP SIX FIXED BLADE BROADHEADS..

Priorities: 1. Accuracy 2. Penetration 3. Durability 4. Cutting diameter

    Ready. Set. Debate!

I shot muzzy for years with great success, even on bears till I switched to mechanicals. Never hunted elk but it's on the bucket list for next year. You can bet I'll be shooting muzzy's. Maybe even the four blade

    Slick tricks

Have never hunted elk but have used them for deer and would still be using them but I switched to mechanical heads. Still going to keep one in quiver though for back up.

I moved totally away from deep six after witnessing and seeing failures of the thin ferrules on a few different and unrelated Broadheads.

If I was to use any deep six heads I would make sure they had a steel ferrule that was solid as possible around the entire circumference.
