I just recently purchased the new Easton Injection arrow and couldn't be happier with the performance. I upgraded because I wanted more penetration and speed, needless to say I got both... expecially penetration. Before shooting the injections my arrows would penetrate my GlenDel Full Rut targer 8"+/- and now with the new arrow I'm getting almost complete pass through.

Anyway, now I have to choose a broadhead... it should be easy cause i don't have awhole lot of options but I'm curious to what you guys have shot and have liked.. I've been shooting mechanical for years now but I'd be willing to try a fixed (thunderhead or big nasty). I'm leaning towards Splitfire Maxx.... thoughts, suggestions?

    Thanks guys!

I love the original spitfire maxx. I don't think you can go wrong there. This year I will be shooting some killzones, but there is always one spot in my quiver for a spitfire maxx.

The maxx's leave some nasty carnage behind them and with a heavier poundage I've never had penetration issues with them. Good luck!

I'm shooting spitfires this year. I've had great luck with G5 T3.

I have the same arrows, should of waited a year due to limitations on broadheads. I did purchase the Bloodrunners, but have concerns they would be considered a barbed head due to the angle of the blades. Which would then make them illegal in New York.

I've shot wild hogs with both the Spitfire MAXX & the KillZone in Deep Six. Both worked just fine ... neither hog went more than 25-30 yards after the shot. I'll hunt with both this Fall—but my "go to" head will always be the MAXX!

You can see here the hog (second hog shot on vid, not the "dog hog") didn't handle the Spit MAXX very well ...

Shot another boar two weeks ago with the KZ in D6 ... he went all of 25-30 yards after the shot, so both heads performed well.

Good luck whatever you choose to shoot this season!

I've got the Deep six setup as well and I went with the spitfire Maxx just because this head worked great for me last year with the HIT insert system. I also puchased the D6 Killzones and am excited to see how they perform. 12 more days and they'll get to taste some blood!

Great video! Thanks for the reply... I'm definitely leaning towards the MAXX, after using the Rage 2-blade for the past 4 years I really want to try a good 3-blade and the MAXX fits that bill. Thanks again!
