I've got a Carry-lite... only used it a couple times. It's always my New Year's Resolution to use it a bunch more each season. Perhaps this season I'll finally do it. :)

Like Greg, I too have a Carry-Lite decoy. This is probably my favorite method to use during the rut. Given the right setup, presentation, wind direction, and a few calls, you could be in for an unbelievable hunt.

I've only had 3 years of decoying under my belt so far. Unfortunantly this year I was only able to use it on one hunt as the standing corn limited my options to get setup. However, in '07 and '08 a doe decoy led to some chances on some great deer.

I also have the Carry Lite decoy. It's not the scarface but I can't remember what model it is right now.

Decoying is by far my favorite method right now. I had great success last year.

Put it this way. The decoy did it's job and I didn't do mine. :o

I use a older carry light with a motorized waging tail.

This is the one I've got...

The Scarface deke is not a Carry-Lite; it's sold under the Primos brand.

The Carry-Lite pictured above will run you around $149.95, give or take a few...

I used the Montana Doe decoy a lot last fall. It suckered in a couple bucks. Both bucks were a little leary of it but it put both of them in range. The young buck walked right up to it but every time the wind made it flutter he would run about 10 yards. He did go back to it a few times though.

The second buck came in to my rattling, doe can and grunting. He show it and backed off. He went into the cattails beside me and started thrashing them. I think he was nervous of the buck he couldn't find from the rattling and grunting I had just done. He had been running with a big bodied brute of a buck earlier in the season. I know he would take the back seat when things got tense with the bigger buck. He seem to finally muster up enough courage and came back out of the cattails but tried circling the doe while really looking over the area. I missed the buck . :(

The does were really nervous of the doe decoy but one died trying to figure it out. :)

Doesn't take much wind to make them move too much though.

I have the buck decoy also but didn't use it last fall.

I am hoping that buck decoy is better as it is a broadside profile of the buck verses the head/behind narrow profile of the doe. The doe would have been better as a broadside profile IMO.

I'll play around with the buck decoy next year.

    Tim
