decisions

Had this guy at 15 yds tonight. Kept going back and forth....shoot, don't shoot,shoot,don't shoot. Kept thinking to myself...."he'll be better next year". Then I started thinking.. " I may not get another chance" and "He would be a decent first buck." I ended up letting him walk but he may not be so lucky the next time.

 

That wouldn't even be a legal buck here in Pa. Living/hunting in Kentucky, shouldn't you be able to locate something a little bigger? lol

 

I drew back on a similar buck tonight, but decided to let him go. So far I'm happy with my decision.

 

Yup - Would be a good buck next year.

As far as giving him the pass, it sounds like he did not get your blood pumping enough. If he does next time, I would send an arrow his way. If not, he still gets the pass.

IMO - Any buck is a good buck if it gets your blood cooking and your excited. If you need to debate to shoot it, your often better to pass it up.
