Yes they do make an all leather Pronghorn, mine however are not. Have those stupid panels even the all leather pronghorns though have a panel, its just leather. Still more stitching to leak if not kept heavy on the LP

without reading all the posts, except the first and one about the pronghorns being the best ever.
I had a pair of pronghorns, within a year the soles were seperating, they leaked, and were the worst boot ever for keeping the laces in those tiny speed hooks they had on them.
    never again :(

Ehh. Has a bit of scent but not terrible. I just reapplied and after 24 hrs I can't smell it but.....
It kinda has a honey / beeswax smell. Which are some of the ingredients.

The scent sticks around indefinitely. I always treat mine in the spring and let them set all summer. You really don't need to treat your boots right away.

I have bought expensive boots for hunting and work and I have bought some of the cheapest crap out there. Personally, I prefer to just buy the cheap walmart brand Herman Survivors at about $40 a pair. In a mid weight thinsulate waterproof boot, they are going to do about anything a hunting boot needs to do and do it a hell of a lot cheaper than a $250 pair. I just bought two pair today, one of the all canvas with scent control pairs and one of the leather and canvas types.

I've never hunted in the mountains so don't know how well they'd be for that but here, they work just fine for me. If I was ever going to spend a buttload of money on a boot, I'd order custom fit boots made by a tailor at $500 or so for a pair that are rebuildable a couple of times.

They came last night to the door. I will be honest I am happy I got the size 13....but if I was going to be covering miles of terrain they'd probably be too loose, but with a pair of thick socks I am betting I'll be hunting later warmer this season than my non-breathing rubber sweat factories for early and mid season hunts.

Now for their carbon bath/wash, air dry and into the bins....once the scentmaster box gets here they'll probably get a spell or two in there too.

Resurrecting a ten year old thread just to share, those same Pronghorns will be worn on easily 90% of my hunts this fall yet again. Now anyone reading this must realize, outside of very few times over the years am I walking miles on these boots. I'm a small parcel 10-200 acre pieces, and often hunts are low impact/smart entrance and exit spots.

BUT still to get ten years out of boots to me at least is awesome. These things are purely hunting boots however, so again take the report with whatever granular size of salt you desire...but still.

Everything is still functioning just as it did day 1, just more broke in.

Mine didn’t last that long but I did not take care of them like I should have. They basically dry rotted. But I bet I got 5-6 yrs out of them and abused the crap out of them. Not bad!

Yeah mine live in my hunting box and used just for hunting - in boots world that is not hard on them, but decade without rot or dry I'm impressed by.
