    has anyone ever heard of an Eddings Super Cast? Are they a decent bow?

    Sorry never heard of it! Look into a older Bear Grizzly, made in Grayling Michigan, great bows that are a true workhorse! They have killed lots of animals over the years. You'll be able to pick one up for under $175 all day.
