No thread started on this debate? I loved when the moderator set the record straight just as Romney was about to go into attack mode. Eager to see the next debate.

I was waiting for this thread too.......

With that said, she had no ground whatsoever to jump in to Obama's rescue. I'd feel the same way if the moderator jumped in to rescue Romney. That is not the role of a moderator and it's ridiculous she did this.........Obama should be able to fight his own battles and stand on his own two legs.

With that said, his use of the word "terror" in his address in the rose garden was so loose, it absolutely was not in context of calling this specific incident an act of terror. Anyone that listens to the full clip can clearly hear this and if you take a second to listen to this........I'd love to hear your thoughts....

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...ly-call-consulate-attack-in-libya-act-terror/

The word "terror" was said exactly one time at 4min 16sec. It's pretty clear he had no idea what caused this attack at this point..................

The moderator trying to save oblah blah was a joke and should have never happened. I saw a later news cast with her on I believe CNN and she admitted she was wrong about her statement and Romney was correct, but the unfortunate thing is not as many saw her admitting her wrongful comment. The thing that pissed me off the most was the fact of how many times she cut Romney off compared to Oblah blah. There where some very interesting topics brought up. Is it me or did it seem that Oblah blah tried to go around giving direct answers on the questions at hand? Romney did this too but gave a somewhat answer, but obama seemed to drift out and away from answers. I am glad Romney brought up fast and furious even though oblah blah didnt respond to the subject. I was waiting for one of them to shove or punch the other when they where toe to toe in each others faces. I thought it was a very heated debate and made the differances between the 2 of them very clear

So, its ok for a moderator, who is supposed to be neutral, to interject something into the debate and defend one of the debaters? If it was the other way around, you would be singing a different tune today.

    Agreed.

The debate was a personal battle and chest thumping demonstration with little substance. I'm not even sure why there is a town hall format debate included since the questions that are asked are never answered in a succinct manner.

I was intrigued (although short lived) when Romney was starting to open up about his supposed revenue-neutral tax plan, but he didn't expand much further than allocating a set amount of $ for deductions to offset the loss from the tax cuts.

While I agree with a some of what you said, you lose pretty much all credibility when you use terms like Oblah blah. Kind of like people calling Bush the Bushwacker. I usually just skip over those posts because they generally don't carry much substance.

I agree it did. I think the undecided voters felt that way too.

I agree. I'm not excited about either guy. This is like four straight elections I’ve felt this way. Rather then voting FOR someone I'm deciding who to vote AGAINST.

Again, the moderator was a joke. A very one-sided joke. I saved it on dvr and watched it back again and she blatantly skipped two different times that Romney should of had his two minutes to respond. He knew it and tried to explain it to her and she just cut him off and said it wasn't going to work that way. In fact it has been reported since, that Obama was given nearly 4 1/2 minutes more speaking time. Are the liberals that scared of losing? Or, are they just so used to the entitlement mentality that it seems fair and natural to them?

Obama looked better last night than he did the first debate. At least he didn't come across as a spoiled child making faces behind Romney's back. I didnt see anything that would be considered a big misstep by either candidate. But, it was once again painfully obvious that it was slanted to favor the President.

Out of curiosity, what percentage of Obama voters do you think actually watched the debate?

    Same question for Romney supporters.

When I look at where the majority of Obama's votes come from , I have a hard time thinking that his voting base was interested in the debate.

I am writing in Rancid Crabtree, who's with me?

As for was it a terror attack line, I don't care, just as I don't care about what Romney did at Bain. I would rather we get it right than fast, I would rather we bring those to justice who did it, than knowing when we announced it was a terror attack.

So, it doesn't matter to you that the administration was giving false information? Saying it was a spontaneous demonstration, even after most everyone knew it wasn't?

Once again a moderator played a part in a debate when the very nature of their job is to stay out of it and keep it on track.

The oil drilling spin was humorous by the president but all in all I felt as though he performed very well tonight. He also lied about Libya again, but I'm in the minority camp of republicans who says who cares about what he called it.

I want a president to not RAISE taxes anymore, and cut back all federal programs. I want them to stop taxing inheritances that have already been taxed and to stop taxing capital gains on investments.

Like I said, I would rather get it right than a rush to judgment and get 4488 service man and women killed on a hunch.

I am more worried they did not know, then the information they gave out was false.
