I think mitt has it. But I truly find it hiliarious that FOX & CNN say mitt to charge and came to win and that obama sucked. Then I flipped to MSNBC and they just kept saying that Obama should have poiunded Mitt about all of this other stuff. I really wish it wasnt so obvious where the media stands on these things.
Obama made it pretty clear last night that the only way to fix the deficit is to raise taxes. He has no clue about basic economics and how small businesses operate. Mitt won the debate hands down and he seems like he knows a lot more about economics the Obama does. If anybody thinks the government can run a health care better then the private sector can I hope you never get sick.
Deductions are taken by all, so though the middle class would get squeezed, so would the wealthy and maybe to a lessor extent the poor. On the business front, its a global marketplace. I suspect the intent is to entice businesses to bring jobs back onshore rather than incenting businesses to outsource. He did mention the notion of increasing the workforce to expand the tax base.
The semantics that both parties play. To your earlier post, if the tax deductions and credits are reduced/eliminated, the tax rate could possibly be reduced...
Cutting the spending is key, but they need to increase revenue too. Even in the impossible and hypotherical case of the fed government stopping all operations and spending (including SS, military, govt salary, medicare, debt payments, etc), it would still take many years to pay the existing bill. It will have to be spending cuts and revenue increase, and carefully administered as so much fed $ is flowing from the tap to states and corporations.
You could have watched it in person and arrived at the same conclusion. He did very well. What bothered me the most was the smug, childish facial expressions the President continually made while Mitt was speaking. He looked like a twelve year old kid that was making faces behind his teachers back. I think Mr. Obama's true colors shined through last night. Seriously, grow up Mr. President. I was not really a Mitt Romney fan at all prior to the debate. But, I have a lot more respect for the man now and look forward to further debates. At this point, I think we need Hope and Change with a conservative twist.
I usually dont talk politics cause everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Just found out my mom is voting for Obama? Yuk! How can anyone vote for Obama? Have they not being paying attention to what he did to this Country? Stop helping foreign countries & take care of our own! Stop welfare for illegal immigrants & give it to the people in our country who need help! They are illegal & pay no taxes..so let's keep giving them jobs & welfare ugh!!!!! Just make sure you cancel out her vote with one for Mitt! And then maybe start working on her reading material.
Oh, were already having that conversation! I was so mad. Been giving her more facts & info about Obama than she can handle. My response earlier was PG version of what I wanted to say lol Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
Just remember its easier to coax a mule over a cool stream by gently using your reins to guide it , than it is to square up and kick it in the azz. Some times neither method works but the view is much better from the front.
Props to Mitt -- He was quickly running out of life but managed to resurrect himself last night. All he needed was a sub-par performance to outperform Obama and sub-par he was!
One point I can't believe Mitt didn't hammer down on was when the President was crowing about how vital balanced budgets are for plans (when talking about education)...what are we on, year 4 now without a federal budget?! lol I don't know that either president can deliver on their promises, my only thinking is that we have already experienced one miserably failing, lets give the other one (a genius in the business world at that) a try to fail at this point. haha
Here's what I got out of it. Mitt's comments were full of substance, and was communicated as well as I have ever seen. He was confident and quick minded. Obama seemed childish, he also seemed to stumble over what he was trying to say. It reminded me of a guy that actually knows what he is talking about, and a college kid who had crammed for test the night before, but hadn't studied prior.
They are all crooks...go with the lesser of 2 evils...Romney/Ryan. Also can't go wrong with a V.P. who hunts :-) Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
