I'm doing well except my toes are a little chilled. Exchanging texts with my farmer now maybe he'll have some Intel for where I should sit tonight Sent from my Moto X
Still sitting same stand. Spike just moved through. Big bucks have been moving mostly in the evening it seems from trail cam pics. Toes are cold as hell but I'm gonna stick it out 2+ hrs left. Hopefully see them cruising the river and pull them in Sent from my Moto X
Keep at it this weekend. Something will fall. Saw the nice 10 I had videos of. He just went the wrong way on trail otherwise he would be dead.
Cold morning. Had 1 8 point come by perfectly. Too small. I picked the right stand for the weather. 9 degrees this morning. Not much wind.
Windy here. Duck hunters are giving them hell down the river. It is freezing today. Snowy on and off. Movement just picked up. Had a fork move through buddy saw the 6 or small 8 across the river. Not sure if I'll make it much past 11 today. Not sure about an evening sit yet Sent from my Moto X
Well woke up and hour and 45 minutes late for my evening sit... Guess that's not happening. I'm upset. Probably not gonna make it out tomorrow. 15+ mph winds in the morning 6* wind chill... I should probably head back to school and study for my test Monday. Darn it. Sent from my Moto X
Gosh it was 7 degrees when I went to work this morning at 630am. That was w/o wind chill. The deer have went their late season routine all of a sudden with very little rutting behavior going on. About the 28th or 30th things will heat up with rutting behavior again where I hunt. Gun season starts Next Saturday and runs till Dec 10th so I will be doing some serious doe patrol with a gun and bow during that time.
Lots of action today. At 4 today I shot the big droptine. I hit a little back, but he was quartering away slightly. Arrow was stuck in him. Saw him run away and then stop at end of the finger of timber. Then I lost him. Waited until 10 to check the finger. Didn't see anything. It has been snowing since I shot him and zero blood to be found. Be out all day tomorrow to try to find him. He should be dead somewhere. Hopefully somewhat close. Hoping my dad can saddle up his Mule tomorrow to help look. He can cover a lot of ground and being up higher can help. He has to clear a couple things with my mother that he had already planned. Good luck out there. I'm going to need some tomorrow blindly searching with no trail. I have a good guess where he might have headed. Circled back or went up across to neighbors. He could still be in the finger too. I'm checking there first thing in the morning and moving on from there.
