Well guys I got it done this morning. 8 points 20 1/4 inch inside width. I had 2 different bucks chasing a doe which was apparently in heat. This buck came and hit her trail and I grunted at him. The string was reeled in to 15 yards and the Beman sent on his way through this bucks lungs. I will put a tape to him tomorrow.
Be back to hunt Thurs night through Sunday. Weather is low about 18 highs low 30's. Snow on Saturday. Here we go! Sent from my Moto X

This was shot yesterday about an hour away from me. Don't know the person or story, but looks fair chase. It did snow yesterday. If anyone sees a buck like this don't pass. Haha.
Headed back tomorrow around noon. Should have a stand hung and sitting in another by 3:30 I would hope. Shot some Greenhead's in Missouri this AM. This guy is gonna make his way to the taxidermist. Also got my 4 Wheeler bedlined. Or at least the first coat. Too bad the dang thing won't start now. got to figure that out. Sent from my Moto X
I have a new buck that has shown up. He is a giant. Sat in my dad's box blind. Was in there less than a minute and hadn't opened windows. He was standing 25 yards broadside looking right at me. Hadn't even gotten my release on yet. I stared at him for 30-40 seconds while I put my release on. I already had my arrow nocked. He finally started running away. I slid the window open real fast and loud. Murped at him 3 times while drawing. He stopped at 35 yards quartering away too much. Then he was gone. I have no idea how big he was because I didn't get time to study him. He was huge. He had a droptine that was 12-15 inches long. That is the only thing I'm sure of. He had other junk too. I would have been in stand earlier, but I stalked a big buck in open field. Got to 48 yards of him bedded down. Tried to range him without standing up and getting my cover blown. I was in a bean field. He was bedded in waterway. I had him ranged at 55 yards. I could only get the bean field behind him on range finder. It said 63 yards and I guessed 55. I was pretty sure. I watched him for over 10 minutes. I finally figured out how he was sitting in regards to his body. He was with a doe. I took a shot at him. It went right over his back. Had the wrong yardage. I was shooting at the top of his back figuring the arrow would be angling down some. This buck was nice and had split g2's. Wasn't wide, but had good height and mass. 10 point. Hoping to find the droptine tomorrow. This deer seriously had me dropping my jaw. Saw a lot of deer running around. It was snowing this entire time today. Absolutely great hunt.
Here is picture of buck that I stalked. I can't believe he didn't bolt. I drove into farm by corn crib which is in picture. Snuck into our shop. Showered and got ready. He had moved down into ditch. I didn't know that, but had a pretty good guess he was still around with a doe.
Don't get to hunt this morning or tomorrow morning due to having to watch my little one but i get to hunt the evening so i aint complaining to much!!!
well went out last night and seen a little 8 and a doe but other than that i still haven't been able to catch any of my shooters in the daylight yet!!! I'm heading back out tonight with my father in law hopefully i can get on a deer!!! this is by far the latest I've made it into the season and not shot a single deer!!!
Good luck today. I'll be out tonight and all weekend. Would like to sit all day, but I haven't been able to sit more than 4-5 hours with cold and windy weather. Looks to be the same this weekend with snow Saturday. I have a weird feeling something will happen Saturday in the snow. They seemed to be moving pretty well in it Wednesday. Last night was dead until dark. Then I was surrounded by deer and had to bark at them to get them out.
Having a great sit today. Started late got to stand about 6:15. Started chasing across river bank around 8:30. Just finally slowed down. Passed a 120-130" 8 pt. Tried to draw on a turkey but messed it up. Awkward shot facing my tree trying to go over my harness tether. Too many layers for that. Wind is starting to pick up. Trying to decide if I should stay put or switch stands. Probably take a leak soon. Wind chill was 3* this morning. Sent from my Moto X
