I believe this might have been the buck I passed on Wednesday. Might have been off on my 140ish idea.

Ending up scoring 122. I thought he would make 130. Still a nice deer. My dad didn't believe the score. Not long main beams and 16 1/2 spread don't add up quickly. Great fun tracking two bucks today on Halloween. I shot my buck in avatar two years ago on Halloween. Always a great time. Tomorrow will come early and will be a long day until an arrow is released. Should be interesting.

I've seen 14 deer. No bucks. Nice calm morning. Should be able to make it all day. Have a thermos of coffee I'm not breaking out until I get really cold. Good luck out there.
My contest duty's are done we officially have a buck on the board! My goal was to shoot a mature buck regardless of antler size and that's just what i did! He scored 117.25 and his bases were 5inches.I am super happy right now!
Put a buck down tonight. He's a small 9pt that won't score well but I'm more than happy with him. I'll be out in the am looking for a doe. Hopefully I have 2 deer to enter when I get home tomorrow night
Nice work. I had encounter with the big 8 last night. Slow morning. Hunting stand in neighbors tonight. I've never hunted there before. Down in valley. Windy here today.
Couple deer that were shot yesterday. Also got a text that someone shot a 176 inch 8 point in southern iowa. Hard to imagine an 8 point that big.

The card was full and missed out on pictures from 10/13 - 10/31. I have the sheds from the first buck picture with split g2. Going to have to hunt that all day and get in early. No good way to get in without bumping deer. Might try Thursday if I can get enough work done today and tomorrow. I'm going out for a quick evening hunt tonight.
This weather is fantastic! Wishing I could be in a tree this weekend, but I'll be out chasing ducks. Get to see a bunch of old friends so it'll be a good time. So I shot this buck this evening. The issue is he was slightly quartering to me and I think I may have hit him in the shoulder blade to far forward. The arrow broke off about 5 inches including the broad head but there is blood (all the way around the arrow) 10 to 12 inches up. The rain started coming down so we begin the search after about 1/2 hour after I shot. We had good red blood but there did not appear to be air bubbles. We saw the deer laying down about 60 yards in front of us and it did take off down the hill. The other thing about the particular property is the fact that it is 40 acres but about 2 acres around the house is enclosed on 3 1/2 sides with a 6 foot chain link fence. The deer went into the fenced area. I am hoping it is not able to jump that fence but I guess we will see tomorrow morning. ANY THOUGHTS? He is a huge bodied deer which takes away from his rack.
Hoping to score my buck tonight and get him on the scorecard. Like I said before he won't score well but he's my biggest bow buck in my 3yrs bow hunting so I couldn't be happier.
