    I don't get it and it is hard to argue with the outcome but why would you take a shot that you were not comfortable taking, even mentioned the inability to get the camera on a bear the night before. Like I said hard to argue with the outcome but the self pressure to get a shot on camera is not a positive thing.

    wasn't there an episode on relentless persuit years ago when tim wells shot the bear right between the eyes with his bow?

    Yeah that's some old footage though, that is one of my favorite archery videos of all time. I know taking a shot like that is stupid, "unethical" and a great way to get you and your camera man killed, but with that said I don't think there is a more exhilarating hunt that has been caught on camera.

    I was just mentioning it as a quick bow kill. I agree neither of these were preferred shots that I would take.

    Bear die very fast when hit right. Most all of mine die within 35 yards.

    Even shot in the perfect spot seems bears live long enough to get into the thickest nastiest brush in the area.

    Love going into the thick stuff in the dark to recover a bear you are pretty sure is dead, pretty exciting stuff till you start gutting and dragging.
