Did a quick test tonight between the Rage 3 blade Chisel tips and the new Dead Ringer Rampage 3 blade. Both heads are 1.5" cutting diameter and fly like field points. Check out what separated the two heads! I was really impressed with these Dead Ringer heads, they appear to preform as advertised, flew true and hit hard. This thread isnt intended to bash Rage, Ive used them for years with great success. These dead ringers just have peaked my curiosity so i figured id see how they did in comparison to my previous heads.

I switched to the Rage 3 blade Chisel Tips last year. Had a buck at 15 yards, slightly quartering to me. He jumped the string a touch and I hit him right in the front shoulder. That 3 blade Chisel Tip nearly bounced off of him. I found the arrow, it had a bit of blood on the broadhead and nothing on the arrow. I know the front shoulder is tough, but that broadhead should have broke through it at 15 yards coming hot out of a Mathews Z7 at 65 lbs.

It was the first and last time I used a Rage Chisel Tip. Might check out those Dead Ringer Rampages though.

Question? It looks like you are shooting into a target that has been shot repeatedly with field points and broadheads. How do they both perform shooting into a new target face?

this what the first time ive shot that target with a broadhead. the most shot up area on that target is where the field point is. the broadheads both hit areas that rarely take shots.
