I won't get into too many details on this deer after my last thread that turned out to be a nightmare. "Supposedly" this guy had been hunting this deer for the last three years and found him dead on the way to a stand he had hung for the deer yesterday. I won't indulge any more until I have proven facts. This is actually one story that I hope is not true due to the location of where it was "supposedly" found.
The trees in the background look a little to bare to be this year. Aren't you in southern IL? We have more leaves left on the trees than that here in central IL. Where was that pic supposedly taken? That kinda looks like the deer found in menard county a year or two ago by some bird hunters, that were hunting a farmers property for the first time. The story made IL game and fish magazine. This is an old story too, from last year... it was found about 5 miles from where I live between Oakford, IL and Atterberry, IL. Lol you make too big of a deal outta old stories. Things circulate around every year, as though it's new, and you have no way of knowing unless you've seen it before. Has there been anything about the giant buck that you posted a video of? I don't understand how they edit a video and make it look so realistic if it really is fake.
The guy claims it was fake. Made myself look foolish twice in one week. I'm usually the one calling the B.S., but I have been had twice. Got to give it to those kids. They did a hell of a job swapping out racks on a deer and making a video.
Either way, it's cool seeing that a rack can get that big... be it found dead, or from a year or two ago. I still enjoyed seeing the pic 2 lunger!
