Well, went out this morning and saw two yearlings and that was it. I also think I am having two more of my trail cams finally taking a poop on me after 6 years of running them year round! I think I got my moneys worth out of them so my first USA Trail Cam - Flare came in the mail today if I enjoy it I see at least two more in my future!

I forgot to put the best goose hunt that I have ever been on in here. What was I thinking!

We sat up the decoys then got settled in! When the skies started to lighten up we had a flock come in and land out of range to our left. Then a few minutes later we had another flock come in and land to far out to the right. It was a foggy morning so we decided to kick them up so no others landed by them. Then the only reason I can think of is the flocks must of got in the fog and flew into each other. They circled us a few times then dropped right in our kill hole. We dropped 20 birds in 10 minutes! 4 man limit for early goose season. What a hunt! Here is the group with the birds!

his mornings hunt was not that great! I sat all morning and nothing until I went to get down there was a doe in the standing beans. She was heading right at me and then the next thing I know she was gone. Have no clue were she went unless she bedding down in the beans. Tonight I had to go to a benefit for a girl in her lower 20's that has Lymphoma. Way to young for stuff like that! Please keep Nikki in your prayers for a full recovery from this nasty disease!

I have not been having any luck. The deer are moving but most of all at night. I swapped out my memory cards to find all night time pics and videos with this video in the mix of all night time. Why in the world would you move at NOON. Needless to say I was not out there. I took today off since I am getting burned out of not seeing any deer or waterfowl due to the warm temps we still have. I did manage to kill a Mallard yesterday. I am ready for it to be cold and sure hope it gets there fast since my HUNTING vacation will be from November 5th to November 20th. I will be out every morning and every afternoon. Here is the video!

Here is my waterfowl hunt from yesterday. We saw some waterfowl but this was the only one who decoyed up to our decoys.

I just wanted to show up for now. I am having the worst luck since the first of October! What issue do I start with first? Well, I shot a 130 class 8 point and could not find him. I then found one of my smaller bucks dead. I then spotted a buck bedded down on a small island in a creek about 1/2 mile from my stand. The buck was there for three days straight bedding on that island. One time the buck was even in great stalking position. I had my camera instead of my bow due to the property not being owned by my property owner. I am not going to go on another property to take a deer when I do not have permission to do so. As much as this guy was inviting me to be his forever owner! As a hunter you have to respect other hunters and other property owners. That is the only way we will get the respect from the ones that dont hunt. NOW FOR THE BOMB! I had a very nice buck come in and I soft grunted at him to get him to stop. When he stopped I let the arrow fly for him to pin wheel at the same time. I gave him a hair cut and cut. There was no blood on my arrow just hair and some meat marks. Here is the pictures of the buck bedded on the island. Two different days with one photo from one day and then 4 from the other and that was the day I could of taken him at 20 yards. The only way he turned is because I was talking to him as I was videoing him. I could not believe that he just stayed there. I will have to try to get the video of the big boy since I am having issues adding the video.

Way to go all! I shot my first deer of the season Sunday morning with my shotgun! I am glad I took the gun otherwise I would of went without a deer all weekend. The deer are not moving for me at all this year. DONT count me out since I am a ALL YEAR HUNTER so I will get the job done for at least a doe I hope. I have three targets running yet unless they got shot by a shotgun hunter. I will be out until the season is over so my next buck will be a dandy.

Well, the way my hunting year has been going the first picture is how I have felt since October 1st. Then here is my buck that I took Sunday with my shotgun. I did not see the start of the fork on his G-2 and I probably would of let him walk if I did. I am happy with him and thankful that I am finally able to get on the board with him being my first deer of the year.

Went out this morning and had 4 does walk the road in front of my owners house. It was a really foggy morning and then all of a sudden I had a deer in shooting range. I did not have a lot of time to think about it and I grabbed my bow and drew back. I then did not notice that the deer was a button buck due to the fog. I let the arrow fly and hit the boiler room. The deer ran about 20 yards and piled up. This was my first bow kill of the year and I was pumped to get the monkey off my back with the bad mojo that I have been having. I will take it none the less and I am a very happy bow hunter to be on the board finally! Here is the little fella!

Well, one good thing I guess is that the check in station is not busy with deer for second shotgun season. That means my bucks so far are still kicking. I will be out next thursday trying to get one of my dandies but I know I will be saying some prayers for good luck. Today went Duck / Goose hunting and had some specs and mallards all over but only two came in and only one kill. Trying again tomorrow to see if it changes.

I was told that not many deer checked in for the county that I bow hunt in so my bucks should still be on the hoof. Now that we have some snow I hope to put the an arrow in the boiler room on a dandy. I did get out today for a duck / goose hunt. Not much flying and the funny part is when we started to pick up some ducks tried to land in our decoys with us standing in the middle of them. CRAZY and not right! I shot one nice big Drake Mallard and that was it. Here is the big fella and the white streaks in the pictures are snow flakes falling.

Nice looking duck. It always works out that when you decide to pick up the ducks start flying. The last time I was out there wasn't anything flying for over an hour it was about noon. We start picking up and bang a flock of about 20 comes in and circles. Lol

Well Thursday and Friday only one deer seen! So decided to get one last duck hunt before north season ends and was a great day! Birds flying all over and for four guys we got some good shooting in. We had a flock of Gadwall's come in an we dropped six of 10. Then had flock of Bufflehead's come in and we dropped six of 12. Then we got a single Gadwall and a single Hen Mallard. 14 birds was a great morning! Here are some pics from the hunt!

UT OH I just did a flop of my memory cards and look what I got. I sure hope that big 8 lived second season and comes by me. The other big 8 lasted both seasons so I would like to have him too. If you look real close on the HUGE 8 you can see a fork on the left side as he is walking away. These are videos so get to watching!
