I had that really long main beam match set and the freak antler that was mounted up top the board that is the profile pic on here.
Well, went for a nice walk this morning and just got in. About 20 minutes into my walk I found a nice 5 point shed laying on a creek crossing. Here are the pics and will be scoring it tomorrow:
I am glad I found the big one when I did. We got his with 3 inches of snow and now calling for more 2-5 so this is crazy. I am not liking the white stuff right now since it is hiding my sheds under the snow. I hear them calling my name saying find me before the tree rats do.
here in PA we've been under a snowy subzero winter for months now. finally next week looks like mother nature is going to loosen her grip. dawg, I know how you feel about the snow.
Just want to get some prayers for my little buddy Stanley! He was kept over night the other night at the vet and was doing better so he was able to come home. We are now back at square 1 and I am really worried about him. Right now there is not a dry eye in my house with all my kids and wife and I all showing our love for him. I really need a lot of help and so does he! Here we are:
Update on my buddy Stanley! He is feeling a little bit better but not really eating much right now. Barked for the first time in 4 days. I hope he continues to get better. The vet said that they are not sure what is going on with him and could do a EXPLORATORY surgery. Dogs are not something you just can open up and look around and then put back together. If they knew what they were going in for that would be different but they have no idea and said that themselves.
maybe try a different vet for a second opinion. still thinking about the little guy. get well Stanley!!!
How old is he? Maybe he just needs to get out and find his first shed of the year...usually helps me feel better but seriously I hope he gets better for ya, my dog had Parvo as soon as we got him and that was a rough few weeks at first

Went out 3-7-15 and found 4 more sheds with two making another match for me. I also found a buck that the antlers were cut off already. Here are all the pics from today:
Went for another short walk today 3-10-15 to find this one that I must of walked by a few times. The squirrels tore this one up already and was on the opposite side of the thicket where I normally walk.
Here are also a couple pics from today 3-10-15! A few does coming into the woods from feeding. I am on the edge hiding behind the first tree to get these pictures.
Went out to my good spot today and took a buddy with me. We found 6 total with each of us getting three. My buddy found a nice set but the tree rats got that set really good. Two of my three had been chewed on also. The highlight of the day came when we walked out of a thicket and there was a Raccoon that ran up a tree. While taking pictures of the coon he dropped something. When we went over to see what he dropped we could not believe our eyes. My first ever seeing one and we saved the little fella. Here are the pictures from today!
So far this year I say I am having an OK year. Wish I could find more hammers but it is crazy this year.
